Pan-Asian, pink, bright, bold and all things neon flowed through this street scene in Nicki Minaj’s video for ‘The Night is Still Young’. Lord Whitney worked with renowned music video director, Hannah Lux-Davis to design a set which was iconic yet unplaceable, timeless but also visually stunning. From bespoke neons, to a Japanese shop interior. Lord Whitney led a team of skilled set builders, painters and crew to give The Queen of Hip Hop her own lantern-lit, neon-drenched playground.
It’s hard to believe that in the space of two days the empty studio became a (bespoke) neon lit Harajuku street. It ended up with a very colourful tone like Nicki herself!
